A live review from our recent show in Sheffield at the Harley has surfaced here. Its actually quiet flattering. I don't really take too kindly to comments of admiration but when morale is this low, its nice to be appreciated i guess.
The blazzing sun of the last four days has been nice but i have realized how prone it makes me to migraines when it is this hot. Ive had two in last four days, maybe its a more underlying problem? Anyhow, still managed to make it to the Wolfgang Tillmans show at Serpentine, Hyde Park. Dont really know what to say of it to be perfectly honest. It seems to me that times have changed dramatically since Cartier-Bresson and Bruce Davidson were seen as the 'fine artists' of this discipline. Fine Art now cannot be seen to have a social function, unless of course you want to contact me to challange this stance? In which case maybe it does?
What can be said of the relationship between modernist art and its relationship to modern social life? The answer is in the title of this post you bunch of goon dogs!
